Power outages reported in Prince Albert, Christopher Lake, Emma Lake and Meath Park Saturday night
UPDATE: Shortly after 10 p.m. Saturday evening, SaskPower reported that crews were working to repair damage caused by a fire at a substation and estimated that power would be restored at approximately 12:30 a.m. in Prince Albert-West Flat, Hazeldell, Nordale, Westview, Redwing, Wahpeton and areas east of town along Hwy 55.
The power went out before 9 p.m. Temperatures are expected to dip down to -46 C this evening with the windchill. Environment Canada issued an extreme cold warning for the area but said a significant push of warmer air will begin building across the region overnight into Sunday and will bring an end to this extreme cold event.
