Homegrown hockey talent joining Broncos for 2022/23 season
Humboldt’s McLaren Paulsen will be dressing for his hometown green and gold next season.
So far this season with the Regina Pat Canadians U18 AAA program, the soon-to-be 18-year-old forward has 22 points, nine goals, 13 assists and 28 penalty minutes in 35 games.
“We are very excited to have McLaren commit to the Broncos for next season,” said Humboldt Broncos head coach and general manager, Scott Barney. “Over the last four years since I have been in Humboldt, it’s been great to see his progress as a player with the work he puts in on and off the ice. His work ethic in the weight room has translated to his game on the ice where he’s a two-way power forward and consistent leader.”
While Paulsen is familiar with the Broncos organization, playing U15 AA hockey in his hometown, he has already played one SJHL after being called up to play the Melfort Mustangs on Jan. 14.
