Delays announced as Birch Hills clinic waits for new nurse practitioner
The Birch Hills Primary Health Care Clinic will experience a staff shortage this summer which will impact its level of care.
A new nurse practitioner (NP) was hired to fill a vacancy left by a former NP’s retirement. However, the new NP will not be starting until Aug. 29.
The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) warned residents Monday morning that there may be delays caused by having only one part-time NP available during the summer.
Clinic hours will also be changed to accommodate physicians’ holidays during the summer.
