Jul 11, 2022 | 2:00 PM

The Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) has released the regular-season schedule for the 2022-23 season.

Each team will play a total of 56 games with playoffs scheduled to start in mid-March.

The Melfort Mustangs will begin their season on the road as they head north to Flin Flon to face the Bombers, while the Nipawin Hawks will do the same, travelling to La Ronge to battle it out versus the Ice Wolves. Both games are slated for October 16th.

A day later, the Humboldt Broncos will start their campaign at home versus the Notre Dame Hounds. The Mustangs and Hawks will also have their home openers on that day, but they will switch opponents.

Melfort will welcome the Ice Wolves to Northern Lights Palace while Nipawin will face the Bombers at Centennial Arena.

The SJHL Showcase will also be back in Warman at the Legends Centre from September 25-28.

A full schedule of the 2022-23 SJHL season can be found here.
