24-year-old man struck and killed by vehicle near Pelican Lake First Nation

The circumstances surrounding a tragic incident Monday night in northern Saskatchewan remains under investigation.

A 24-year-old man who had been walking along the highway north of Pelican Lake First Nation was struck and killed by a vehicle.

The collision happened around 9:30 p.m.

The driver remained at the scene and is said to be cooperating with police. The deceased was from the nearby community.

Highway #24 was closed during initial investigation but has since re-opened.
