Melfort Trade Alliance and Chamber of Commerce

Melfort Chamber seeking new executive director

Aug 9, 2022 | 3:56 PM

The Melfort Trade Alliance Chamber of Commerce (MTACC) is looking to hire a new executive director.

Cam Lee, who has been the executive director since April 2021, is leaving the organization for a new opportunity, effective Wednesday, Aug. 10.

“I can’t say enough good things about my time with the Melfort Trade Alliance Chamber of Commerce, and I fully encourage the business community — and the Melfort area as a whole — to support the chamber going forward,” Lee said in a press release.

“While I am excited for the next phase of my career, I will be forever grateful for the opportunity the chamber executive provided to me last year.”

Lee also mentioned how his time spent with the chamber was an unexpected one.

“It’s something that I didn’t think would be available and I was very happy to be chosen executive director back in April last year. It’s been rewarding. It’s been nice to meet a lot of local business owners and hear about their concerns and listen to what their issues are, and just get to know them a little better.”

While it has been confirmed that Lee will be moving on to something new, he could not provide any comments as to what it was, at least for the time being.

One thing he does know, however, is that he wishes the chamber the very best in its future endeavours and knows it will continue to do great work.

“I hope that they find an executive director that will take them to even further heights. I know that they have a lot of different plans in the works. As the COVID situation kind of lessons, hopefully, there will be bigger plans and more fundraising, and more focus on local business and what’s important to them.”

More to come…
