Diamond North Credit Union Builds Relationships

Sep 14, 2022 | 9:06 AM

The key to strengthening any relationship is good communication. At Diamond North Credit Union their top priority is understanding the best way to serve you. What are your dreams and wants? How can DNCU help guide you to achieve your financial goals? Diamond North Credit Union believes in taking the time to truly get to know you. A better relationship ensures your needs always come first.

Joel Bilodeau, Manager of Regional Relationships says Diamond North Credit Union owes its success to the trusted relationships that they’ve built and nurtured with members – all 15,000+ of them. Every member of DNCU is a shareholder who is directly involved in shaping its future.

Diamond North Credit Union is one of the Top 10 largest credit unions in the province. Service locations in the West Region include Prince Albert, Debden, and Big River. DNCU also has another five service locations in the East: Arborfield, Carrot River, Choiceland, Nipawin, and White Fox. Decisions are made here, by people that live here. People that understand our local communities.

Diamond North Credit Union knows you’re busy and banking should be easy. As a full-service financial provider DNCU offers a wide array of competitively priced deposit accounts and products, along with a fresh, new digital banking and mobile app. Another full suite of wealth services is available for those members who would like guidance when investing in their retirement savings plans including RRSPs, TFSAs, and education savings.

Joel says, “As a medium sized credit union, we’re able to hit that sweet spot between being large enough to offer pretty much every product and service on the market, yet small enough to deliver a more personalized and advice-based service experience to our members.”

Diamond North Credit Union has an experienced team of Business Relationship advisors who provide a wide range of lending products and advice. From personal loans and mortgages to student loans, agriculture loans, business loans, credit cards and more.

Joel adds, “Our lending and wealth advisors give out their direct phone and email information to members which helps them be more accessible.”

For your peace of mind, Diamond North Credit Union is partnered with Credential Financial Strategies, a leader in wealth management and the investment and insurance provider of choice for Canadian credit unions and their members.

Giving back to the community is also important to Diamond North Credit Union. They support countless groups and organizations every year through a variety of donations, sponsorships, financial literacy workshops, and community partnerships. That includes a new initiative called DNCU ROCKs. Joel says it’s been a lot of fun.

“DNCU of course stands for Diamond North Credit Union, and ROCKs is an acronym for Ripples of Common Kindness. Our staff head into the community to surprise people with a small treat or a kind gesture.”

DNCU rocks in so many ways. Local support from local specialists, personalized care, a wide array of financial services, and community involvement.

“The success of our members equals our success”, says Joel. “We’d like to thank them for their patronage and loyalty”.
