It’s time to remember the sacrifice of Canadian soldiers in armed conflicts and in Nipawin, that starts with Poppy Chair Helen Hodgson pinning the first poppy on Mayor Rennie Harper.
This year’s Poppy Tea and bake sale is going ahead on November 5 between 2:00 and 4:00 pm at the Nipawin Legion. The annual fundraising and memorial campaign starts on October 28 and ends on Remembrance Day.
Money raised from the sale of poppies will go into a trust fund that is used to help veterans and their families.
Branch #120 will hold a full service on Remembrance Day on November 11, starting at 10:45 am.
