Sandy Bay man accused of murder, pleads guilty to manslaughter, avoids trial
A trial will no longer be required for a man who faced a charge of second degree murder.
Lenny Sinclair, 25, has instead pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of manslaughter. The case was spoken to Monday afternoon at Court of King’s Bench in Melfort.
On Dec. 20, 2020, 54-year-old Jacob Sewap Sr. was found by police at a home in Sandy Bay, suffering from severe injuries. He passed away three weeks later, while still in hospital.
