When asked what makes their store stand out above the others, Owner Julie Lacroix explained the simple answer is they offer the products people can’t find anywhere else.

“We have the different products that people are looking for to make a gluten free recipe or even a keto recipe,”she explained.

Nutters offers thousands of products such as organic food; frozen products from gluten free to fresh; and frozen organic meats and poultry. The expanded bulk foods department carries everything from your favourite snack foods to organic beans and grains. They have also introduced a new vitamins and supplements department.

Lacroix explained the most common questions she hears from customers entering the store, is what they can do to decrease stress, help their inability to sleep, or just improve overall energy levels.

“You know we are in a stressed world so just anything to make peoples lives go a little easier,” she said.

Obviously Vitamin D and C supplements are popular supplements this time of year, but Lacroix added Collagen supplements are also in high demand, assisting with hair, nails, skin and even joints.

“As we age we don’t make as much collagen so that’s probably our best seller right now,”she said.

But the one thing that really makes Nutter’s stand out above the rest, especially compared to online options, is its highly trained and personable staff who are there to answer any question customers may have. In addition to a certified herbalist, three staff members have taken the proper courses to sell supplements.

“We have the education to back it too,” Lacroix said.

Referring to their first BOB award as a big honour, Lacroix thanked everyone in the community who voted.

“We love our customers and we love to have a visit with then when they come in, and we are very honoured to be chosen,”Lacroix said.
