Mustangs looking for first win against Klippers on Wednesday
The Melfort Mustangs have just 10 games left in their SJHL regular season, and there’s still so much to be determined when it comes to the playoff race.
For the Mustangs, they currently sit fifth in the SJHL with a 25-14-5-2 record and 57 points. They sit just six points back of second place Flin Flon, and could realistically finish anywhere between those spots.
On Wednesday night, the Mustangs will welcome the Kindersley Klippers to the Northern Lights Palace for the second of four meetings this season. Back on Feb. 5, the last-place Klippers beat the Mustangs 5-2 in Kindersley. They also beat the Mustangs 7-4 back in October.
Mustangs forward and former Klipper Wyatt Cook said the team is in a good mindset heading into Wednesday night.
