Winning bid on Nipawin SLGA permit surpasses $800K
The license for the former provincially owned liquor store in Nipawin has sold for $800,100.
The auction officially wrapped up Friday afternoon with a total of 195 bids happening over a 10-day stretch.
On the final day, 108 bids were made by eight different bidders. The identity of the winner isn’t known as the auction only publicly shared the person or group’s username.
This is one of several auctions that have either wrapped up or are still ongoing after the province announced last year they would no longer operate retail liquor stores and that the permits would be sold off.
