Humboldt Emergency Services golf tournament raising funds for community initiatives
All of Humboldt’s finest are set to come together later this week to raise funds for community initiatives.
The eighth annual Humboldt Emergency Services charity Texas scramble four-person best ball golf tournament will happen this Thursday.
“All the money that we raise goes back to the community in one way shape, or form,” explained Humboldt Fire Chief Mike Kwasnica.
“It’s just a good fun day for us to go out and have some golfing, and it’s a way to build our emergency services team and get it a little bit better and tighter. Normally we see each other on a call or at different events where it’s a little higher stress and this gives us the opportunity to get together with some of the individuals that are in the different organizations that we can just go and get to know each other and have a little fun.”
