Melfort Curling Club Rocks New Donation From ADAMA
ADAMA Canada is pleased to announce a donation of $5,000 to the Melfort & District Curling Club to revitalize the facility. This donation is part of All In On Your Stomping Grounds, ADAMA’s new initiative to help fund community projects across the country.
As part of the curling club’s Revitalization Project, the money will go towards replacing the ice plant and retrofitting a new roof over the lounge, lobby and bathrooms. The upgrades are part of an ongoing effort to increase the rink’s longevity and improve its energy efficiency.
“We’re very proud of our rink and want to maintain it as best we can,” said Corey Faye, Melfort & District Curling Club President. “The rink is more than a place to curl — it’s also a space for the community to gather and socialize. This donation from ADAMA means it will continue to be that space for everyone in Melfort and the surrounding areas.”
The Melfort & District Curling Club revival project is one of 19 initiatives supported by ADAMA Canada’s All In On Your Stomping Grounds program, which issued a cross-country call for Canadians to share community space improvement projects, agricultural education projects or community food bank projects in their hometowns that needed funding earlier this year.
