Melfort Mustangs bring back Tye Evans

The Melfort Mustangs have welcomed back a familiar face.

Forward Tye Evans has returned to the team for the third time to finish out his SJHL career.

The Grande Prairie, Alta. product had six goals and 11 assists for the Mustangs in 42 games in 2022-23, after being re-acquired by Melfort from the La Ronge Ice Wolves in September of 2022.

He had two goals and an assist in 13 games for Melfort before being traded to La Ronge in November 2021.

In Evans’ SJHL career, he has 17 goals and 27 assists in 93 games.
