North East School Division informs parents of potential disruptions
The North East School Division (NESD) has sent out a notice to parents regarding any potential job action from its teachers.
The Saskatchewan Government-Trustee Bargaining Committee and Saskatchewan Teachers Federation (STF) have thus far been unable to come to an agreement on a new contract for teachers across the province.
A conciliation board made of representatives from both sides, and an independent chairperson met in December, and once again there was no agreement reached.
NESD sent a letter to parents and posted it on their website about some of the potential effects that teacher job action could have on schools, parents, and students.
