MLA Greg Lawrence resigns from Sask. Party caucus amid police investigation
Moose Jaw Wakamow MLA Greg Lawrence announced his resignation from the Saskatchewan Party caucus on Tuesday.
According to a four-sentence statement from the Government Caucus Office, his decision to resign comes as an “active police investigation is occurring into historical complaints unrelated to his duties as an MLA for Moose Jaw Wakamow.”
The statement didn’t outline the nature of those complaints. No other details were released.
The caucus office said Lawrence will sit as an independent MLA and is fully cooperating with the police investigation.
