During the COVID pandemic, tire supply was limited across the world. That situation has improved, and Fahlman said shipping lanes have been more reliable, and product availability is much better.

Fountain Tire Melfort is also about keeping local farmers in their fields. They respond to calls 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.

“We prioritize our farmers based on if they need the piece of equipment to be rolling,” Fahlman explained. “Calls come in where we have somebody who’s got a small tractor in their yard that needs to be worked on, or we have a seeding tractor out on the field with a flat, we always go for whoever is in the most need first.”

Fountain Tire Melfort recently took home the northeastNOW BOB Award for Best Tire Shop, and Fahlman said much of the credit goes to his staff for their dedication and hard work.

“We all have the same mentality where whatever needs to be done we stay until it’s finished. If there’s a problem on weekends or evenings and somebody needs help, if they call, we go.”

Fountain Tire Melfort will also soon have two new licensed mechanics on staff to be able to do any repairs on any vehicle, make, or model.
