The Town of Tisdale is on the lookout for a new Chief Administrative Officer.

Brad Hvidston tendered his resignation last week after a lengthy stint working at town hall. He is moving to Yorkton to become city manager.

“I thoroughly enjoyed my 16 years in Tisdale,” Hvidston told northeastNOW. “Each and every council has been a pleasure to work for.”

Hvidston praised the town staff for their effort, saying they kept the amenities in great shape, and that people should be proud of their town.

“Tisdale has been a great community to raise my three boys and will continue to hold a place in my heart,” Hvidston said. “I am excited for my new opportunity as it will be a new challenge and advancement in my career.”

Hvidston thanked the community, its employees, the mayor and council, and committee members for their time and effort in making Tisdale a great place to live.

“He’s looked after the town pretty darn good I think for the past 16 years,” said Mayor Al Jellicoe. “We’ve been…moving forward with a lot of stuff. He’s quite aware of what’s been going on.

Jellicoe said the town has lost a valued employee with a lot of experience, and now the town will look to fill some big shoes. He added Hvidston’s replacement will be stepping into a position but will have a lot of help from current town staff.

The town has advertised the now-vacant position on the SUMA website, and Jellicoe hopes they fill the position sometime in July or August.
