Melfort Mustangs acquire Tisdale native Nicholas Andrusiak

The Melfort Mustangs have made a trade ahead of next week’s SJHL draft.

The Mustangs acquired defenceman Nicholas Andrusiak from the Melville Millionaires in exchange for First Round pick in the 2024 – 2008 Born Draft, a First Round pick in the 2024 – 2009 Born Draft and Second Round pick in the 2025 – 2010 Born Draft.

The 19-year-old Tisdale native split last season with the Red Deer Rebels and Saskatoon Blades of the Western Hockey League (WHL), netting eight assists in 51 regular-season games, and three assists in 13 playoff games with the Blades.

Andrusiak started his hockey career with the North East Wolfpack, and played parts of three seasons with the Tisdale Trojans before netting 18 points in 75 games over two seasons with the Melville Millionaires.
