Police searching for man after firearm incident on Kinistin Saulteaux Nation

Tisdale RCMP are searching for a man who pointed a gun at two people at a home on Kinistin Saulteaux Nation.

The incident happened on Tuesday.

RCMP say a man approached the two individuals, who were known to him, and pointed a firearm at them. The gun was not discharged, and no one was injured.

The man then fled on foot.

39-year-old Kenneth Iron from Kinistin Salteaux Nation has been charged with two counts of pointing a firearm, one count of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, one count unauthorized possession of a firearm, and one count of careless use of a firearm.

A warrant has been issued for Iron’s arrest, and Tisdale RCMP continue their search for him.

Iron is six feet tall, 185 lbs (84 kg), and has black hair and brown eyes. He may be driving a yellow GMC Sonoma with license plate 347 MWF, though this can’t be confirmed.

If seen, police ar advising people not to approach Iron, and to report any sightings to Tisdale RCMP or through Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or www.saskcrimestoppers.com.
