Murder suspects in court in Melfort

A couple of murder suspects made brief court appearances in Melfort Provincial Court on Monday.

Cody Chubey, 35, is charged with second-degree murder in the death of his long-term partner Danelle Dobersheck in Melfort in March.

He appeared via video and will remain in custody until his next court appearance on Aug. 6.

Fifty-seven-year-old Kevin Swanson was charged after the death of relative Dennis Swanson, 81, at a home in Naicam in June.
