Melfort Ag Society gearing up for Melfort Exhibition July 19-21

Residents from the northeast and beyond are gearing up for Melfort’s annual exhibition.

The Melfort Ag Society is once again hosting the event at the Exhibition Grounds July 19, 20 and 21.

Ag Society manager Kim Eskowich told northeastNOW the featured acts on the grandstand each night are a huge hit.

“Friday night we’ve got country artist J.J. Voss at the grandstand. Saturday night we have a Bryan Adams tribute band from Vancouver playing, and we’re wrapping up on Sunday with the demolition derby again,” said Eskowich.

There is plenty to do for the young and the young-at-heart, including a petting zoo and the popular midway.

“We’ve got kids entertainment on the ground with Indigo Circus on Friday and Saturday,” Eskowich said.

The exhibition also features an exhibit hall and vendor tables, chariots, chuckwagons, light horse show, motocross, food booths and food trucks, and much more.

A fireworks show is also scheduled for 10:30 p.m. Saturday night.

Pre-sale tickets for the exhibition are being sold until Tuesday, July 16.

“Buying the ride passes in advance is a discount of…10 dollars and the three-day advance adult gate passes it’s a 10-dollar discount as well to buy early.”
