Man accused in homicide, assaults apprehended by RCMP

A man sought by RCMP in Pelican Narrows and police in Saskatoon has been apprehended.

Kendell Ameech, 28, was wanted by Pelican Narrows RCMP for multiple counts of assault with a weapon, and weapons-related charges.

Ameech was also wanted by Saskatoon Police in relation to a homicide in April.

He was arrested at a residence in Pelican Narrows on Monday and made his first court appearance on Tuesday.

Saskatchewan RCMP’s Critical Incident Response Team, Police Dog Services, and Warrant Enforcement and Suppression Team (WEST) all assisted in the investigation.
