Nipawin Fire Department puts out landfill fire at Shoal Lake

The Nipawin Fire Department was called to a fire at a local landfill.

Crews were called early Wednesday morning to the dump fire at Shoal Lake, the far eastern edge of the department’s boundary.

The department said they paid extra attention to a section bordering the tree line to prevent a possible wildfire in the forest.
