The 31st annual Vanity Cup at Tobin Lake is in the books for 2024, and this year’s champions hail from the Bridge City.

Dale Charko and Colby Charko of Saskatoon were the winners of the $100,000 grand prize at the event over the weekend.

They sat in sixth place after day one, and a solid day two helped propel them to victory.

The Charkos finished with a two-day total of 39.94 pounds.

Finishing in second place were Tom Johnston of Buena Vista and Larry Johnston of Regina. They led the field after day one, and took home $27,000 for their second-place finish.

This year, for the first time ever, anglers were able to fish in the lake as well, rather than just along the river.
