Melfort fire crews battle late night blaze

Smoke blanketed the downtown core in Melfort Monday night after an intense fire in the city.

The blaze started at around 8 p.m. near Burns Avenue West. It wasn’t immediately clear which buildings were on fire, but its believed the storage units behind an apartment building were burning.

More details are expected from Melfort Fire and Rescue later today.
