Murder cases to have preliminary hearings set next week

Two local murder cases were back in court in Melfort on Monday.

Cody Chubey’s case will be back in court Nov. 4 in Melfort Provincial Court.

He is charged with second-degree murder in the death of long-term partner Danielle Dobersheck in Melfort in March.

Kevin Swanson of Naicam will also return by video on Nov. 4 in Melfort.

He faces a second-degree murder charge in the death of 81-year-old Dennis Swanson in Naicam this spring.
