Melfort Mustang Kristian Coombs named top SJHL goalie for October

A Melfort Mustangs has won a monthly award in the SJHL.

Netminder Kristian Coombs was named the SaskTel Goalie of the Month for October.

Coombs finished 7-3 during October with a fantastic 2.04 GAA and .935 SV%. He also had one shutout as the team has the second fewest goals against in the league.

Tre Fouquette of the Humboldt Broncos was named the SuperU Defenseman of the Month. Fouquette had four goals and 10 assists in 14 games in the month of October.

Carrot River native Caden Drury of the Melville Millionaires is the SGEU MVP of the Month. Drury had nine goals and 17 assists in 14 games last month. His 26 points leads the league by four.
