The Melfort Mustangs return to action after a week off with a Sherwood Division battle.

The Mustangs travel north to face the Flin Flon Bombers Friday night.

Melfort enters the game with a record of 11-3-0 (W-L-OTL) on the season and they lead the league with a .786 win percentage.

Flin Flon is 6-9-1 on the season but the Bombers are just 3-7-0 in their last 10 games overall.

Puck drop is at 7:30, and you can listen to the game on 105 CJVR.

Melfort had the week off due to the Western All-Star Showcase.

Meanwhile, the Mustangs were busy on Thursday as they made a trade.

Melfort acquired 2005-born forward Will Munro from the Swan Valley Stampeders of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League.

Munro is 6 feet 2 inches tall and 201 pounds and had three goals and four assists in 10 games with the Stampeders this season. He spent the previous two seasons with the Kelowna Rockets of the Western Hockey League.

In return, Melfort traded away 2006-born forward Jake Giacobbo and a Player Development Fee (PDF).

Giacobbo had two goals in seven games with the Mustangs this season.
