Suspicious garbage bin fire in Melfort

The Melfort Fire Department were called to a fire behind the Northland Plaza along Saskatchewan Drive.

The call came in just before 7:30 p.m. Tuesday night.

Upon arrival, crews were forced to quickly douse a garbage bin fire.

Fire Chief Leonard Whitney told northeastNOW the fire remains under investigation.

However, it is believed that the fire was deliberately set.
