Northeast Saskatchewan is once again under an Extreme Cold Warning, as temperatures continue to fluctuate significantly.
Just one day after above-normal high temperatures during the day, communities like Melfort, Tisdale, Nipawin, and Prince Albert could see wind chills approaching – 40 C or colder.
“Extreme cold wind chills between minus 40 and minus 45 are expected this evening and overnight,” according to the Environment and Climate Change Canada warning.
They caution that skin can freeze within minutes during these types of wind chills.
