Trojans dump Yorkton to open 2025 portion of campaign

The Tisdale Trojans started 2025 with a victory on home ice.

The Trojans dumped the Yorkton Kinsmen Maulers 4-1 at the RECPlex Wednesday night.

Goals by Carter Geysen and Cooper Atkinson on the power play gave Tisdale a 2-0 lead midway through the first, with Yorkton narrowing the lead to 2-1 late in the first.

A Justin Whitrow tally in the second gave the Trojans a 3-1 cushion heading into the third, and Geysen’s second goal of the game with less than a minute left closed out the scoring.

Wyatt Fleischhacker made 39 saves in the victory for the Trojans, who are in Swift Current for a pair of games this weekend.
