Successful weekend down south for Tisdale Trojans

The Tisdale Trojans earned three of a possible four points on the road this weekend.

Tisdale opened their two-game set against Swift Current with a 3-2 shootout loss to the Legionnaires on Saturday.

Pryce Thiessen opened the scoring in the first and scored the tying goal in the third to send it to a shootout.

Jackson Dunn made 28 saves in a losing cause.

Tisdale turned the tables on Sunday with a 3-2 win in regulation.

The Trojans scored three times in the second period, with two goals from Pryce Thiessen 44 seconds apart, and a tally by Eric Han four minutes later.

Thiessen, Han, and Sean Shiels all had three points for the Trojans, with Wyatt Fleishhacker making 29 saves in the victory.

Tisdale is now 16-7-6 on the season after a 2-5-5 start. They are tied for fourth place in the Saskatchewan Male AAA Hockey League with 38 points.

The Trojans will host Battlefords in a pair of games this weekend.
