Man killed after being struck by SUV east of Kelvington

A pedestrian has been killed after being hit by a vehicle near Kelvington.

Rose Valley RCMP were called Monday at 6 pm about the collision on Highway 49, about five kilometres east of Kelvington.

The investigation determined that an SUV collided with a parked truck and a pedestrian on the side of the highway.

The pedestrian, a 59-year-old man from Lintlaw, was declared dead at the scene by EMS personnel.

The passenger in the truck was assessed by EMS at the scene and reported no physical injuries, while the man driving the SUV did not report injuries at the scene but was taken to hospital for further assessment.
