A Tisdale Trojan has decided where he will play Jr. A next season.

Trojans’ defenceman Reid Slugoski has put pen to paper with the Weyburn Red Wings of the SJHL.

Slugoski has played 21 games in Tisdale this season scoring once, while adding five assists for six points.

The 2007-born blueliner also suited up for the majority of the Trojans’ games last season, appearing a combined 49 times between the regular season and playoffs while registering nine points, all of which were assists. So far this season, the Warman product has been called up twice to Weyburn, however, has yet to register his first career SJHL point.

The six-foot, 170-pounder also has one game of experience in Jr. B, playing for the Carrot River Outback Thunder.

Prior to his U18 AAA career, Slugoski spent the 2022/23 campaign with the Pilot Mound Academy U17 Prep team where he scored nine points in 37 games. He spent the 2021/22 season with the Warman Wildcats U15 AA squad, producing 13 points in 24 matches.

In all four years combined throughout the various levels and teams, the 17-year-old left-hander has amassed a total of 165 penalty minutes.

The Tisdale Trojans are 16-7-6 (W-L-OTL) on the year, good for fifth place in the SMAAAHL, while the Weyburn Red Wings sit in third place in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League with a record of 22-11-2-0 (W-L-OTL-SOL).
