A weekend sweep for the Tisdale Trojans at the RECPlex.

Tisdale opened things up with a 2-1 victory over the Battlefords Stars on Saturday.

The Stars opened the scoring in the first, but Carter Geysen evened things up after one.

Geysen scored the winning goal in the second period, and Jackson Dunn made 33 saves in the victory.

The Trojans closed out the weekend with a 4-3 overtime victory on Sunday.

Jacob Tait scored the lone goal to give the Trojans a 1-0 lead after one.

After two Battlefords goals in the second, Eric Han evened the scoring after two periods of play.

Tait gave the Trojans a 3-2 lead, but Battlefords tied the game at three midway through the third.

Blake Girard netted the winner in overtime for the Trojans, who got 19 saves from Wyatt Fleischhacker to earn the win.

Tisdale is now 18-7-6 on the season and they are just two points back of Swift Current for third place in the Saskatchewan Male AAA Hockey League.

The Trojans will hit the road on Wednesday to face the Warman Wildcats before hosting the Saskatoon Contacts twice this weekend.
