Agriculture in the Classroom Saskatchewan (AITC-SK) launched its modernized Grains of Saskatchewan education display.

It offers an enhanced experience designed to deepen student’s understanding of Saskatchewan’s agriculture industry.

The revamped Grains of Saskatchewan display was officially unveiled at the Western Canadian Crop Production Show last week where project partners and members of the public were invited to explore the updated resource.

The re-imagined display integrates modern features and refreshed content to better connect audiences with the vital role that grains play in Saskatchewan’s economy, culture, and food systems. Making the display easy to transport was integral to the design as it travels to various agricultural events throughout the province reaching an estimated 15,000 students each year.

The exhibit combines hands-on aspects, seeds and fully-grown plants and visual materials to bring the story of grains to life. Visitors will discover the diversity of crops grown in Saskatchewan, their by-products, remarkable facts and the importance of the crops to our province’s economy and in feeding the world.

AITC-SK Executive Director Sara Shymko said they were thrilled to re-introduce the Grains of Saskatchewan display with modernized features that make learning about agriculture even more engaging.

“Saskatchewan’s grains fuel not just our province, but the world and this refreshed display ensures we continue to tell this important story in an inspiring and impactful way,” she said.

The updated Grains of Saskatchewan display was made possible thanks to the support of SaskOilseeds, SaskPulse, SaskOats, SaskBarley, SaskWheat, Sask Mustard and funding from the governments of Canada and Saskatchewan under the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership.
