Three people killed in Friday’s crash west of Melfort

Jan 27, 2025 | 11:27 AM

A tragic update on last week’s crash west of Melfort.

Three people were killed in the two-vehicle collision.

RCMP were called to the scene on Highway 41 at 12:30 p.m. Friday, and it was determined that two SUV’s collided.

One SUV had three occupants, and all three were declared dead at the scene by EMS.

They have been identified as a 70-year-old woman from Crystal Springs, a 42-year-old woman from Saskatoon, and a 44-year-old man from Saskatoon.

RCMP say their families have been notified.

The driver of the other SUV, who was the lone occupant of the vehicle, was taken to hospital with what are described as non-life-threatening injuries.

Highway 41 was closed for several hours after the crash.

Melfort RCMP continue to investigate with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist.
