Tisdale Trojans win one of three games on the weekend

The Tisdale Trojans won one of three games on a busy weekend in the Saskatchewan Male AAA Hockey League.

The Trojans opened their game in Prince Albert Friday with a 2-0 lead through two periods, with goals from Pryce Thiessen and Sean Shiels.

The Mintos scored three unanswered goals in the third to take the 3-2 win.

Jackson Dunn made 25 saves in the loss.

Tisdale bounced back on Saturday at home with a 6-3 win over the Mintos at the RECPlex.

Preston Hoppe, Jacob Tait, Justin Whitrow, Sean Shiels, Eric Han, and Carter Geysen all scored for the Trojans, while Wyatt Fleischhacker made 21 saves.

The Trojans ended the weekend on Sunday with a 7-2 loss in Warman.

Ramy Borowsky and Preston Hoppe scored for Tisdale, who took a 2-2 tie into the third, only to surrender five goals in the final frame.

They received 35 saves from Jackson Dunn.

The Trojans now have 50 points on the season, four back of Swift Current for third place.

Tisdale hosts Yorkton on Wednesday.
