Weldon 4H Beef Club Report

The start to our 2024-2025 Club year has been going great and has been a busy one so far!

We held our first meeting of the year on December 8th and our club executive was chosen as follows:

• President – Courtney Hansen
• Vice president – Rylan MacGillivray
• Treasurer – Kylee Hansen
• Secretary –Allie Porter
• District Representatives – Blakely Strautman and Tegan Hovdebo
• Club Reporter – Ava Timm

Our annual weigh day was held on December 29th at the Timm farm. All the members projects are off to a great start!

On January 12th we had a fun afternoon of skating and pizza at the Kinistino Rink, followed by a general meeting.

A project meeting was held on February 2nd. Members got a demonstration of how artificial insemination works. We also worked on our project units for our record books which this year where we are covering things like the Beef Cow & Heifer Management, Managing the beef herd sire and Breeding.

On February 16th we held our club speeches. Congratulations to the members that placed first and will be moving onto the district level.
