Nipawin, Melfort players honoured by SJHL

The SJHL players of the month, and week, have been revealed.

Eric Hoiness (HOY-ness) of the Nipawin Hawks is the Canterra Seeds Saskatchewan Player of the Month.

The Saskatoon native had 5 goals and 11 assists in 13 games.

Ty Thornton of the Melfort Mustangs is the SuperU Defenseman of the Month, with 12 points in 11 games.

Meanwhile, teammate Kristian Coombs is the SaskTel Goalie of the Week, after going 1-0-0-1 with a 0.48 goals against average, a .986 save percentage, and one shutout.
