Mustangs remain ranked fifth in Canada

The Melfort Mustangs once again hold steady in the Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL) Top 20 rankings.

The Mustangs remain the fifth-ranked team in the country after three home wins.

Melfort started the week with a 4-1 victory over Yorkton, winning all four games against the Terriers this season.

The Mustangs followed that up with a 5-2 win over the Nipawin Hawks Friday night, and a 5-3 victory over La Ronge in a rare Sunday tilt.

Melfort is now 44-7-0-2 on the season and will finish their regular season with three games this week.

They will host La Ronge again on Wednesday, and welcome Notre Dame on Friday, before travelling to Wilcox for the final time on Sunday.

The Flin Flon Bombers moved up two spots and they are now ranked number 14 in Canada.
