Mustangs hit the road to face Klippers in Game 3

The Melfort Mustangs look to take a stranglehold in their SJHL playoff series with the Kindersley Klippers.

Melfort won the first two games at the Northern Lights Palace by a combined score of 11-3.

The Mustangs had two goals and an assist from Reilley Kotai in their 5-2 victory Friday night.

Melfort scored six unanswered goals in game two, including five in the second period, in their 6-1 win the following night.

Zac Somers had two goals and an assist, while Ashton Hutchinson had a goal and three assists for the Mustangs.

Melfort has won all six games against the Klippers in the regular season and playoffs by a combined score of 27-9.

The Mustangs had the best road record in the regular season at 21-6-0-1, while Kindersley was 13-12-2-1 at home.
