Local football programs to receive new helmets from Saskatchewan Roughrider Foundation
Several local football programs will benefit from a donation from the Saskatchewan Roughrider Foundation.
More than 125 football teams throughout the province will receive 1,000 brand-new helmets thanks to the Foundation’s $1.8 million dollar investment. The helmets will be distributed through the Saskatchewan Roughrider Foundation, in partnership with Football Saskatchewan. The donation was made possible thanks to the support of Rider Nation and last year’s ISC-sponsored 50/50 draws.
“This investment demonstrates our unwavering commitment to amateur football and ensuring that these young athletes have access to quality equipment,” said Saskatchewan Roughrider Foundation Executive Director Cindy Fuchs. She thanked ISC for their ongoing partnership and support through the 50/50 draws and also shared her appreciation for Football Saskatchewan’s support and collaboration.
Football Saskatchewan CEO Jeff Yausie said the initiative is a game-changer for amateur football in the province.
