Crews in Melfort battle second dumpster fire in same spot five months later

The Melfort Fire Department was called to another dumpster fire behind Northland Plaza along Saskatchewan Drive.

The call came out after 8 p.m. Thursday night.

The fire was contained to the garbage bin, though crews checked the roof to ensure there were no sparks.

Fire Chief Leonard Whitney told northeastNOW the official cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
