The Town of Nipawin is reminding homeowners and landlords to clean up their property now that spring has arrived.

The Town issued a news release discussing spring clean-up now that the snow has melted.

“We’d like to take this opportunity to kindly remind all property owners and landowners that maintaining a clean and safe property is not only a source of personal pride, but also a vital part of our shared community responsibility,” the release stated.

Residents are being asked to take a moment to check their yards for debris, garbage, or any other items that may have accumulated during the winter months. The release said sidewalks, boulevards, yards, and alleys can all be checked, and that “a tidy property enhances neighbourhood safety, boosts curb appeal, and improves community spirit.”

The Town also made an appeal to landlords to ensure their properties are well-maintained.

“As the property owner, you are ultimately responsible for ensuring that your properties meet local cleanliness and upkeep standards, regardless of tenant activity,” said the statement.

The announcement also thanked everyone for their cooperation in ensuring that neighbourhoods are kept beautiful, safe, and welcoming.

Spring clean-up days are also coming in Nipawin next month. They will run from May 20-23.
