Melfort Legion hosting Saskatchewan Made Showcase

May 1, 2025 | 4:00 PM

A showcase in Melfort will highlight the best of Saskatchewan in a time of tariffs and uncertainty.

The Saskatchewan Made Showcase is being held at the Melfort Legion this weekend.

Legion President Constance Roussel told northeastNOW that Saskatchewan-based crafters and artisans will be there to sell goods and products only made in this province. There will also be a barbecue during the event, with burgers, hot dogs, drinks, and chips.

Shopping local is always a good thing, and Roussel said having a Saskatchewan-based show sets them apart from other craft shows.

“There’s so many craft shows in every small town that we thought ‘you know, just bringing Saskatchewan stuff would be nice’, rather than big companies coming in,” said Roussel. “It’s our stuff!”

Tables are sold out, but Roussel said you can message the Legion on social media if you want to be put on a waiting list.

Roussel said it’s a great time to explore the showcase, with a couple of major events over the next two months.

“You’re going to find something for Mother’s Day, you’re going to find something for Father’s Day that’s also coming up.”

The Melfort Legion’s Saskatchewan Made Showcase will take place Saturday, May 3, from 10 am to 4 pm.
