Infrastructure work getting underway on Kingston Street in Melfort
The City of Melfort is advising residents to be aware of some street work on the city’s south side.
Infrastructure work on Kingston Street began on Monday, and temporary traffic control measures will be in place.
The first phase of the work will take place from Stepney Avenue to Quebec Avenue and there will be a full road closure with barricades and signage. There will be detour signs posted to redirect traffic from the area.
Phase two will affect Quebec Avenue to Broadway Avenue S. During this phase, the entire length of Kingston Street Will be closed and will remain closed for public and worker safety “due to ongoing material transport,” according to the city’s website.
