House torched following fire in Star City

A home in Star City has been destroyed following a midday fire on Saturday afternoon.

Melfort Fire crews were dispatched for a mutual aid call at 3:05 p.m. to assist crews in fighting a structure fire.

The house was fully involved when they arrived, and the fire did not spread to any neighbouring buildings. No one was home when the fire started, and no injuries were reported.

It took roughly three hours for the blaze to be extinguished.
